IndyCar partnership continues in 2026 with Trikke patrol movement on full display

Trikke Positron vehicles support security teams across one of motorsports’ biggest stages

When IndyCar returned to the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach in April, Trikke Professional Mobility was along for the ride, continuing a growing partnership that began during the 2024 season.

Now in 2026, that partnership continues across multiple events, including the upcoming Indianapolis 500, where speed, coordination, and mobility are critical behind the scenes.

At Long Beach, two new Positron Version 3 units were deployed as part of the ongoing partnership, supporting the IndyCar security team as they navigated one of the most complex event environments in motorsports.

Mobility that matches the moment

For Director of Safety and Security Brian Mahone, the value shows up immediately in the field.

“You’re elevated. You can see over the crowd. It gives us more visibility and lets us get places faster than walking,” he says. “We’re constantly moving between pit lane, the medical center, the media center, the paddock, and our trailer. Being able to do that quickly is huge.”

That constant movement defines race-day operations. Security teams are circulating, responding, and repositioning across large, crowded spaces where traditional vehicles can struggle.

That is where Trikke patrol movement fits naturally.

Built for large-scale event environments

At a venue like Long Beach, where tens of thousands of fans fill a multi-block footprint, mobility is about efficiency, access, and control.

Mike Bates, part of the IndyCar security team, puts it simply.

“Mobility is everything. These are nimble. You can move anywhere. Even in a crowd, you can still navigate easily.”

Compared to golf carts or gas-powered scooters, the Positron platform allows teams to move continuously without the same limitations in maneuverability or availability.

“It is not about going fast,” Bates says. “It is about getting from point A to point B.”

A natural extension of the operator

For trained personnel, many with law enforcement or motorcycle backgrounds, the learning curve is minimal.

After just a few events, the vehicles become second nature.

“It starts to feel like part of your body,” Bates says. “The way it moves, you move with it.”

That connection matters in high-demand environments where response time, awareness, and control all work together.

Visibility, validation, and scale

For Trikke Professional Mobility, the IndyCar partnership is about proving performance in one of the most demanding live event settings in the country.

“IndyCar is the pinnacle of motorsports in the U.S.,” says Gildo Beleski, CEO of Trikke Professional Mobility. “Being part of these events gives us exposure, but it also validates our technology alongside everything else you see here.”

In an environment filled with advanced systems, the simplicity and effectiveness of the platform stand out.

“It fits perfectly,” Beleski says. “You have people, vehicles, and equipment moving everywhere. The Trikke works naturally in that space.”

From Long Beach to Indianapolis

As the season continues, Trikke vehicles will remain part of the operational landscape at IndyCar events across the country.

From the streets of Long Beach to the brickyard of the Indianapolis 500, the goal is the same.

More visibility.
More control.
More ground covered.

It is a shift in how security moves.

How Denver International Airport paramedics use Trikke Positron for faster emergency response

A rapid-response solution built for large, crowded environments where ambulances can’t always reach quickly.

When a medical emergency happens at one of the largest airports in the United States, response time is everything. At Denver International, Denver Health Paramedics respond across a massive footprint that includes long concourses, crowded terminals, and parking facilities with more than 51,000 spaces — an environment where distance, crowds, and access points can slow traditional ambulance response.

To improve mobility across the airport, Denver Health deployed Trikke Positron patrol vehicles so paramedics can reach patients faster while carrying critical medical equipment.

According to Denver Health Paramedic Lieutenant Tom Stoffer, the size and layout of the airport present constant mobility challenges for emergency responders.

“The footprint of the terminal and concourses is quite large with the terminal measuring 2.6 million square feet and at least one of our concourses is a mile long,” Stoffer said. “The sheer size of the airport and thousands of passengers to navigate through presents significant challenges to providing timely responses to medical emergencies.”

“First responders don’t need a generic platform — they need a platform that works for their specific job.”

Gildo Beleski, CEO, Trikke Professional Mobility

The three-wheel electric Positron allows paramedics to move quickly through crowded areas, narrow corridors, elevators, and parking structures.

“The Trikke capably carries all our equipment which allows our airport paramedics to provide the same level of care patients would receive if an ambulance responded,” Stoffer said. “Even with this load carrying ability, the Trikke is very nimble allowing us to effectively navigate through the facility with ease.”

In addition to the terminal and concourses, paramedics also use their Trikkes in multi-level parking garages and exterior areas of the airport.

“Trikkes have plenty of torque to climb the ramps in our parking garages and are able to utilize small pedestrian passageways to allow for quicker response to emergencies,” Stoffer said.

To support paramedic operations, Trikke Professional Mobility developed custom brackets that allow oxygen tanks, cardiac monitors, and medical bags to be securely mounted to the vehicle without affecting performance or maneuverability.

“First responders don’t need a generic platform — they need a platform that works for their specific job,” said Trikke CEO Gildo Beleski. “If paramedics need oxygen, monitors, and medical bags on the vehicle, then the vehicle has to be built to carry that equipment safely and securely. That’s why we develop custom solutions for agencies. The goal is simple: give them the mobility they need without taking away the tools they rely on to do their job.”

For large environments like airports, rapid EMS mobility can make a critical difference. With the ability to carry advanced life support equipment and navigate crowded areas quickly, the Trikke Positron allows paramedics to arrive sooner, begin patient care faster, and extend emergency response coverage across the airport.

How Simon malls improved security patrol coverage across large retail properties

How Simon malls improved security patrol coverage across large retail properties

Security teams explain how Trikke patrol vehicles help them cover massive retail centers faster and more efficiently

Simon Property Group operates some of the largest shopping destinations in the world, with a worldwide footprint of roughly 400 retail centers across 24 countries. Patrolling properties of that scale presents a constant challenge for security teams responsible for keeping shoppers, tenants, and parking areas safe.

Why large retail properties need better patrol mobility

Large shopping centers present a unique challenge for security teams.

Properties can span dozens of acres, contain multiple buildings, and attract thousands of visitors every day. Maintaining visibility, responding quickly to incidents, and patrolling massive parking areas often requires security patrol solutions that work better than traditional golf carts, vehicles, or foot patrol alone.

Across these large properties, security teams increasingly rely on modern mall security patrol vehicles to improve mobility, visibility, and response times.

Just two years go, Simon was using over 70 Trikke Positrons at roughly 50 properties. Today, more than 100 Positron patrol vehicles are deployed across roughly 70 Simon properties, helping security teams patrol large retail environments more efficiently without increasing staffing levels.

Here’s what three Simon property leaders say about the impact of Trikke patrol vehicles.

Covering a 54-acre retail center more efficiently

At Round Rock Premium Outlets in Texas, security teams patrol a large open-air retail center spanning 54 acres and more than 431,000 square feet of retail space across nine buildings and several outlying businesses.

According to Jim Fulmer, operations director, upgrading patrol mobility significantly improved patrol operations.

“The Trikkes offer greater mobility in crowds and are easier for our security team to maneuver. Since putting them into service as the main means of patrolling in April 2024, we have cut fuel costs by at least 20%, respond to calls quicker, and cover 2–3 times more ground per shift.”

Fulmer says the increased mobility allows security officers to scan the property more frequently while maintaining a stronger visible presence for tenants and shoppers.

Faster response across parking lots and public areas

At Tulsa Premium Outlets in Oklahoma, patrol operations are handled by Andy Frain Services, the professional security firm contracted to protect the Simon property.

Director of Public Safety Reggie Kimmons says the goal was simple: improve response times and coverage across large parking areas.

Before deploying Trikke patrol vehicles, the team was looking for a way to reach tenant stores faster and locate individuals in the parking field more efficiently.

According to Kimmons:

“The Trikke allows security to arrive at scenes quickly and patrol both the parking lots and the common areas.”

It also replaced other patrol vehicles, reducing gasoline costs by roughly $200 per month per unit and helping officers locate lost adults, children, and vehicles faster.

Replacing older patrol platforms while improving visibility

At Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto, CA, Trikke Positrons replaced older Segway patrol units.

Steve Davis, Operations Director, says the change improved both patrol coverage and operational efficiency.

“We’re able to cover more ground, patrol more often, and maintain a stronger visible presence throughout the center. Our officers say it’s easier to learn, more stable, and more enjoyable to operate.”

Just as important, Davis notes the security team can now do more without adding staff.

A modern approach to patrolling large retail properties

For security teams responsible for protecting major retail destinations, the challenge is always the same: cover large properties, respond quickly, and maintain a visible presence with limited personnel.

That’s why many operators are exploring new approaches to mall security patrol vehicles and mobility tools designed specifically for large retail environments.

Simon’s’ growing deployment of Trikke patrol vehicles shows how modern mobility solutions can help security teams patrol large properties more efficiently, maintain visibility across crowded areas, and respond faster across expansive parking fields.

For malls, retail centers, and security teams responsible for protecting large commercial environments, that combination can make a measurable difference.

Bridging the gap between foot patrol and vehicles

How the Trikke Positron helps police, security, and EMS teams move faster, stay visible, and cover more ground in crowded environments

Police, security, and EMS teams are using Trikke Positron patrol vehicles to expand coverage, move efficiently through crowds, and maintain strong public visibility in airports, campuses, downtown districts, and event venues where traditional patrol vehicles struggle.

Public safety teams today face a familiar challenge: how to maintain strong visibility and rapid response across large, crowded environments where patrol cars are too large and foot patrol is too slow.

The Trikke Positron helps bridge that gap.

Designed specifically for police, security, and EMS teams, the Positron is a three-wheel electric patrol vehicle that allows responders to move quickly through pedestrian zones, campuses, airports, and event venues while remaining highly visible and accessible to the public.

Unlike traditional security patrol vehicles, the Positron is designed for environments where maneuverability and constant visibility matter more than size or enclosed cabins. It allows officers and security teams to patrol spaces where cars and golf carts often struggle to operate.

Standing operation gives officers a natural vantage point over crowds, improving awareness while reinforcing an authoritative yet approachable presence. At the same time, electric power provides quiet operation and eliminates emissions, making it well suited for indoor and outdoor patrol environments alike.

Agencies deploying Trikke Positron patrol vehicles consistently report several key advantages:

• Faster movement across large patrol zones

• Greater officer visibility and deterrence

• Reduced fatigue compared with long foot patrol shifts

• Better maneuverability in crowds and tight environments

For EMS teams, the Positron also functions as a rapid medical response platform, allowing paramedics to reach patients quickly in crowded venues and stabilize them before larger transport units arrive.

Many departments now view electric patrol platforms like the Positron as a force multiplier, helping individual officers or security personnel cover significantly more ground during a shift.

In today’s evolving public safety landscape, patrol mobility isn’t just about vehicles — it’s about visibility, responsiveness, and connection with the community.

The Trikke Positron gives modern public safety teams a new way to deliver all three.
